Walking out of the gym tonight, I saw a heron flying scrunch-necked into the wind, its legs trailing behind like stockings on a laundry line. I stopped and watched until it was gone.
People dream of working from home. Trading business casual for pajamas, ditching the daily commute. It has its perks, but after a while, it can be stultifying.
Soon, you’ll find any excuse to get out of the house, even exercising. A blue bird against a blue sky is that day’s big event.
It’s almost enough to make me miss meetings. Almost.
