Winded Figuratively, Not Literally

Yesterday, I didn’t post an entry. So, the official book on consecutive days blogging is 79. Not bad. I beat Joe DiMaggio, but then again, he used a manual Underwood.

I can’t blame the high winds and no electricity. It was worse single-day outage in DTE Energy history — 800,000 outages, which is about one third of their customers — but, thankfully, the power lines in our subdivision are buried.

My excuse? I was exhausted, mentally and physically.

We all gots the pressures and mine finally got the best of me. I screamed “F it” and went to bed early. I woke a bit after midnight, realized the streak was officially over, and slept like a tuckered out lamb.

The Streak Is Dead. Long Live the Streak.

I was going to take a week or two off, but after moping about it most of the day, I realized the streak was actually more energizing than it was draining, just as exercising is. I’m better when I’m moving.

Leave a reply, but please be fancy.
