“Very Unfair!” Said the Man Who Unexpectedly Won.

President Elect Trump and many of his supporters can’t understand why some people are protesting. Maybe this will help.

When hate groups are cheering, decent people start worrying.

His administration won’t be that bad, I’ve been told.

What can I say? Bigotry and racism are as serious to some people as The War on Christmas is to others. In this case, instead of being callously subjected to “Happy Holidays!” in lieu of “Merry Christmas!” The War is actual violence. Plus, social, economic, and criminal injustice. With bullying. And casual assholery.

Many people, myself included, will not give the next president a fair shake until he makes it clear that equality is important to him as well.

The President Elect and his supporters may think it goes without saying. They may think it’s insulting to question his integrity.

I understand what it’s like to be constantly doubted. Every morning in grade school we recited the Pledge of Allegiance. I don’t know why we had to swear a loyalty oath five days a week. It’s not like the KGB had infiltrated our Cub Scouts Den. Ho Chi Minh never guest starred on Welcome Back, Kotter. But as students, it was just part of the job.

You don’t even have to say it all lovey-dovey, Mr. President Elect. Use your words! “David Duke is a nutso racist. Ignore him and his creep friends. I hope he dies of a pee-hole disease. Much deserved.”

Please, give us one less to worry about.

Leave a reply, but please be fancy.
