Morning Routine — Sleepwalking My Way to Success

Alice’s clock said it was 6 a.m.

Normally, I would have gone back to sleep — I am not a morning person with the same intensity that I am not a matador — but instead I decided to get some extra work done before heading downtown.

It wasn’t until I sat at the computer with a cup of coffee and a slice of toast that I remembered my wife always keeps her clock ahead by one hour.

Crap.

A couple hours later, I went into the bedroom to find my phone before it was due to go off. That’s when I discovered I forgot to set the alarm before going to bed last night.

In essence, I was lucky to lose two and a half hours of sleep or I would have missed a client meeting (I am a majestic sleeper).

There must be a better way of getting up in the morning. Maybe a rooster. Or a shock collar.

Leave a reply, but please be fancy.
